Laltu Dhanaki is a jewellery designer and the founder of Nilava Creation, based in Domjur, Howrah, West Bengal.
His practice covers manual design, Matrix 3D and Rhinoceros CAD, CorelDRAW, Photoshop and production development. The aim is simple: create distinctive jewellery with a realistic flow, and prepare it with manufacturing in mind.
His background spans traditional, diamond studded and international gold jewellery, with more than fifteen years in the field. Client projects are treated as confidential.

Concepts start on paper. Once a direction is agreed, it is modelled in CAD with stone sizes, settings and wall thickness worked out, then rendered for approval.

Away from the workbench, Laltu paints, listens to music and travels. Those interests feed directly back into the work: natural and ornamental forms appear throughout the portfolio, from leaf and floral studies to bird and animal motifs.
